Description
I pulled out the original 100 Word List Challenge I found years ago and I am attempting to work through it. I started with number 3 - Water.
I tried to create my version of a mermaid, I think they should look like humans but should be different enough to realize they aren't. I modeled her fins after my betta, P-Body's, and gave her some aquatic features - no hair, long skinny finned fingers etc.
I think her tail might be too short, but if you notice anything else that needs improvement please let me know!
Update 1: Tried to lengthen her tail and began putting in base colors
Update 2: Worked on Background and began shading and highlighting the character

I love you're overall idea the general shape of the mermaid is really well done and the proportions look good. For me proportions are what i struggle with the most, so really good job with that However, as stated above, the addition of shading to your piece would greatly enhance it. Also if you wanted to give it more under water feeling, maybe add some highlights created by the water. Here's an example with a picture of a dolphin [link] . But overall I love the idea and bold use of color. As you said this is still a work in progress and based on your other works i'm sure it will look great when its done Keep up the good work
